How to make a GIF from a sprite sheet or photos
Sprite sheet mode slices one picture into a grid. Confirm the suggested rows and columns, drag the grid lines if needed, then set the speed and loop mode. Photos & slideshow keeps the original single-photo and multi-image tools.
- Add one image for a photo loop, or up to 20 images for a slideshow.
- Use the arrows to reorder frames. Choose the size and time per image.
- Create your GIF, review the preview, then download it.
Can I animate a single photo?
Yes. Single-photo mode creates a two-second gentle zoom loop. It moves the whole image without inventing new content. Choose Still GIF to keep the photo still.
Can I create from a text prompt with GPT Image 2.6?
Not in this tool yet. This version converts your existing pictures in the browser. Use the AI sprite prompt tab to prepare a character, action and 4-, 6- or 8-frame grid for an external image generator, then upload the result. Direct AI generation will be available after the provider integration is tested.
Are my pictures uploaded?
No. This conversion runs locally in your browser. Up to 20 images, 10 MB each and 50 MB combined. Images are fitted onto a square white background.
Why does a GIF look different from a photo?
GIF uses a limited color palette and has no audio. Gradients can appear grainy. Use fewer frames and a smaller output size for easier sharing.
